It's hard not to get sentimental on such a special day. I can't believe it was five years ago that we were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, the day that we started our lives together. Time has gone by, and we have done so much together, grown closer to one another, added to our family, and seen the Lord's hand in it all. So happy to be with YOU, Jonathan. I love you!
For our anniversary we went to a cozy little restaurant, Log Haven, in the mountains at Mill Creek Canyon. It was breathtaking to be up there and cool enough that we were able to eat outside and take in all of the scenery.
We had the yummiest lamb, a real ceasar salad with anchovies and everthing, and a real "Kansan" meal for the main course: Jonathan ordered the bison and I had antelope! Then we had this delicious dessert...a rich fudge brownie with cherries and pistachio ice cream and crispy, sweet crackers.
By the restaurant there was a trail with a waterfall and stream running by. We saw two or three deer right along the path!
We had a wonderful day and enjoyed thinking back on these last five years+ we've shared!
