On Madelyn's birthday we first took her to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch where they gave her a balloon and crown that she had with her the rest of the day. When we walked inside she squealed with delight to see all of the kids and toys to play with. It was very fun to watch her enjoy it all. Later, we had a little dinner for her and she found a new favorite food: pringles with ketchup! She loves to dip things, but after awhile, she got tired of dipping and just started eating the ketchup straight up. Daddy made a yummy chocolate cake with whipped cream and strawberries. We sang "Happy Birthday" and she blew out her own candles to her satisfaction. :) As soon as we were cutting the cake, she started digging in and couldn't get enough of the chocolate frosting! She then opened presents from Mommy and Daddy and was very determined to open them, as you can see by the look on her face in the picture. She spent the rest of the evening discovering her new gifts. I can't believe she's two!
