My parents and sister Kayla came to visit right before the Fourth. Each year there is a parade and carnival in Riverton around the holiday, so we headed over there for some fun one evening. We were able to see cousins Allie and Anna in the parade for their dance company. They certainly played the part and had "The Wave" down.

Every moment is amusing with Papa around.

First, we headed over to the carousel, which was a hit with Madelyn. Evan was a bit unsure at first about the motion of the horses or "cows" but he was very brave with Aunt Kayla by his side.

Then it was off to the "Collar-Roaster" for Maddy. It was pure joy to watch her excitement and thrill as she rode up and over each hill and bump. She was in collar-roaster heaven!

I remember being a bit scared when I was her age and having to ride certain rides alone, but she was all for it. She is certainly like her Daddy-craving a thrill!

Then it was Evan's turn to pick the ride and so off to the cars we went. Look at how focused he is while driving that car. :) I think he was ready to take it off the track and speed away...

After this, Evan tried to be brave while riding more rides with Maddy, but he wanted off right before each one started. He just wasn't quite ready yet to fly so high and move around so much. He is probably more cautious like his Mommy.

Or perhaps, without a steering wheel to control, he just wasn't all that interested anymore.
