Our Final Day

We began our third and final day in Anaheim at Disney's California Adventure park.
Luke not too excited to be held...again. Poor baby needed to crawl around more!!


We first rode the new Little Mermaid ride, Ariel's Undersea Adventure.
The ride incorporated state-of-the-art technology and was amazing in making the characters move and in all of the little details.



It was such a hit with us that we rode it a few times in a row that morning...

with no waiting in line.

The kids and Jonathan then rode the "Toy Story Mania" ride while Luke slept in the stroller. It was so peaceful and lovely strolling him along the boardwalk by the lake they have at paradise pier. He is so precious. We felt so terrible that he was not able to get out his energy as much since he is not walking yet. And by the end of the 4th day,
we were glad we were heading home for Luke's sake.

The kids also found a space rocket ride that they fell in love with! Jonathan and I had to take turns going with them since it was one of those rides where you go around in circles over and over.

Maddy and Daddy also rode Goofy's new ride...a fun little rollercoaster. It was a hit and one that Maddy wanted to ride again with me.

For lunch we went to Ariel's Grotto and we got to see all of the princesses!

Surprisingly, this was even more magical this time around for Maddy then two years ago. She was so very excited to see them again, to talk to them and to have them sign her book.

We were served artisan bread, jello's, vegetables and dip, salad, crackers and cheese, seafood, sandwiches, lobster, steak, chocolate cake and berries, macarroons, and other cookies. We were certainly full when we left.

And Evan thoroughly enjoyed it too. He fell in love with those princesses and even told us how he was going to hold them and kiss them and marry them. Oh boy.

After lunch we went on Mickey's ferris wheel. Evan had no fear, while Maddy and I were a little scared when we stopped at the very top.

We went to the Disney Junior show which was so fun for the kids because they got to see all of the characters they watch on TV.

Then Maddy really wanted to ride the Go Gadget Coaster in Toon Town again, and this time with Daddy. So we headed back to the Disneyland park and Evan decided he really wanted to go too. Since I had to stay back with Luke, Evan gladly said he would ride by himself while Maddy and Daddy sat together. This kid is so funny! Last July he did not want to ride a train, while on this day he was so happy to ride on his first rollercoaster ride and all by himself.

You can see him zooming by in the last car to the left. What a brave little boy!

The kids also met their very favorites...Rapunzel and Flynn Rider!!

It was so fun to watch them interact. They were in awe!

And when asked who her best friend was, Maddy replied without hesitation, "My brother!"

We then we back to Disney's California Adventure and had warm soup and bread for dinner at the Pacific Wharf. While Luke and I saved us places for the World of Color show, Daddy and the kids went on a few more rides, ending the day with Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

The World of Color show was amazing. They took light and water and color and made images from all of the Disney movies with dialogue and music. It was so inspiring and a perfect way to end our second Disneyland adventure as a family. It truly was a magical trip!

(Our 5th day of the trip was spent in the car...all day long. So nothing much to report:) )
