We had a wonderful Fourth of July doing the things we love, in the place we love and call home. We started off the day with our ward's 2nd annual Fourth of July picnic at the park across the street. We had breakfast, a police-escorted parade with drums and music, a bounce-house and sno-cones! The kids were in heaven. With it being so hot, we spent the day at the pool with cousins and ended the night with a family BBQ and fireworks. At the edge of Daybreak we could see the fireworks going on all over the valley. It was magical. And we were so happy to have Grammy and Papa with us too.
I love Independence Day! It has always been my favorite holiday. I love the spirit of unity all around, the gratitude for our country and for those who have helped establish and preserve the liberties and freedoms we so enjoy, and most of all, the gratitude to our Heavenly Father who has given us this beautiful land to live in. It is no accident the miracles that have transpired on this land over the past 200+ years. God Bless America, land that I love!
