A Superhero Day

For our Spiderman superhero, Evan received the traditional breakfast in bed--
Trix cereal and chocolate milk per his request:

Someone found the M&M's...

Then it was off to the zoo with our cousins to celebrate with the elephants and other animals.

Madelyn was especially excited about seeing the polar bears. She was a little disappointed there weren't any baby polar bears, though.

She was also very good with the map that day. But don't ever mention that she got that skill from watching Dora. Apparently she HATES Dora now.

Evan loved the monkeys and bats...and of course, the carousel ride.

The zoo wore these boys out:

Our usual car-napper was wide awake...

Evan found these bat wings at the zoo gift shop. Perfect for our little superhero.

Getting ready for the PARTY with masks, costumes, and SUPERPOWERS!

Game time! First up: Pin the Spiderman on the Web

Next up for the superhero gang: Who has the most SUPER MUSCLES???

Then it was time to open gifts! Evan loved all of the thoughtful, fun gifts.
His sister packed his gift box with homemade spiderman and spidergirl dolls and lots of treats.

Lastly, it was time for cake, and Grandma Starr did not disappoint! Evan LOVED his Spiderman cake!!
And the piece he wanted most: Spidey's symbol.

One happy boy.

Happy 4th, Evan J!!!!!
