Summer 2014 (Part 1)

This past summer was full of end-of-school year activities, relaxation, vacations, and play!
Madelyn performed in the play, "Finding Neverland" with her Up with Kids drama class. She played an adorable Lost Girl and Mermaid and delivered her lines with animation and enthusiasm!
Evan played t-ball on the SF Giants team. He did a great job throwing/catching the ball!
We enjoyed joining Madelyn for lunch and playing at recess. Even with 7 years in between them, Madelyn and Henry are the best of pals.
Madelyn was chosen to narrate part of her class' end of the year program. It was so fun to watch her up there, full of confidence and grace. She also showed us her mosaic artwork.
Madelyn started outdoor tennis in March and has truly enjoyed it. It's cool to watch her gain a new skill.
A common sight this summer: Henry and his fedora hat, red shoes and a car.
Evan riding with his tae Kwon do class in the south jordan country days parade.
Enjoying the carnival and pony rides at country days.

Madelyn performed so well at her recital! She is truly becoming a good pianst and great performer. She learned to play "Teach me to Walk in the Light" and performed it in sacrament meeting with Jonathan on the violin. She was hardly nervous and played it perfectly. I loved watching her so readily share her talent.
This past summer was truly the summer of the park! If we weren't doing something else, we were at the park just playing the day away.
Jonathan and I enjoyed a few nights out. He usually wasn't on the phone either;) my favorite night was watching the sunset on summer solstice.
Living up our family pass at the new aquarium.
Evan worked hard on his thank-you basket to Mrs. Hoffmann. He had a great year and she was a fantastic teacher!
We enjoyed my parents and Kayla coming to visit and celebrating my dad's birthday (lovingly known as Robert's Day around these parts) on July 3rd.
At our neighborhood's annual 4th of July breakfast and parade.
Afterward we had a fun day all together at Lagoon!
