On Sunday we had a relaxing morning before attending church in the new downtown building. It's a beautiful, six-story building in the heart of the city with large windows and a large, white spire. We were in awe and loved getting to attend sacrament meeting there as a family. It really felt like this peaceful oasis in the midst of all of the hustle and bustle of the city around us.
One of the speakers in the meeting looked so familiar to me months later at Madelyn's 8th grade orientation. I went up to her and asked if she and her husband had lived in Chicago during the summer and she had and I told her we were there when they spoke in church that day! Such a small world.
After the meeting we enjoyed spending time on the roof balcony admiring the gardens and the incredible views of the city in every direction.
My matching girls! Madelyn said this is the last time she will ever match with her sister. But never say never, right?! ;) Aren't they the cutest Starr girls in star dresses ever??
Later that day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Starr's new home on the very western border of Indiana. We were sad they were not in Chicago anymore, but we were happy we could visit them at their new house. We had a delicious dinner, played games, and chased fireflies outside in the sprawling front lawn.
My heart was so happy watching these sisters run around and play together. It was another good day.
