SUPER KID!!!

A week and a half ago Madelyn came running through the door telling me it was the BEST DAY EVER!!! It was finally her week to be SUPER kid at school!! She quickly skipped to the table and started working right away on her poster. She worked and worked on this poster for 4 days straight. It was the first thing she did each morning and something she talked on and off about all day long. Daddy and I were reminded many times a day to "please pick up the pictures at Walgreens for her poster."

The poster turned out PERFECT! And last Monday Maddy's week of Super Kid commenced. On the first day she brought her poster and me and Evan with her to school. She talked about all of her favorite things: Favorite color is pink, favorite food is mac and cheese, favorite book is Sleeping Beauty, favorite subject is handwriting, and so on. I also got to tell her classmates what a great helper Maddy is, how thoughtful and caring she is, especially with her brothers, and how thankful we are that she is a part of our family!

On the second day Madelyn got to bring her favorite book to school to share with the class. And her teacher, Mrs. Evans, reads it to the class.

The third day is "Question and Answer" day all about Madelyn. She was so excited to pick on someone to ask a question. My very favorite was what she wants to be when she grows up...A teacher and of course, a MOM.

The final day she got to bring a special treat to share with the whole class. She decided to bring Blow-Pops. Unfortunately not the best thing to share with her little brother when she got home...aargh, but that is another story for another day.
