Dear Henry,
On Daddy's 33rd birthday you turned 8 months old! What a month it has been! You have such a happy demeanor and a natural smile that Mommy knew something was up when, for a couple weeks, you cried and cried and just wanted to be held and fed. And just before you turned 8 months, your first tooth showed up! Even after 4 kids, it's sometimes still a mystery what is bothering you and what is teething or illness or tummy troubles, etc.
Whenever you are upset or tired or ready to be done with something, you scrunch up your nose, like in the picture above, and start snorting at us. It is pretty hilarious, and we love our "Henry the Hog"!

You had a really hard time liking fruits and veggies at first, but after some persistence (and literally shoving it into your mouth) you are willing and usually happy about eating solids. Your new favorite is little bunny grahams.
You still get up once during the night to eat. I am not quite ready to let you cry it out yet. Plus you are a stubborn guy and I think you would wake up the whole house before going back to sleep. I cherish being able to feed you exclusively and know that this time will not last. Babies do not keep!!
You have started rolling and sitting up and going from laying down to sitting up, and even getting on all fours. You will be crawling soon, I'm sure. But right now we are really enjoying just watching you be content to sit and look.
You love to look and watch your siblings play and talk. You crack up a lot, and especially love their tender whispers and touch. They adore you.
I love your sweet rolls, cheeks, hands, feet, and your stunning eyes and smile. You are a sweet and beautiful boy. We are so blessed to watch you grow!
