We had our traditional Valentine's dinner yesterday and invited the extended fam as well. It was great. Misha made the shrimp cocktail and Alena brought
delicious rolls (with divine strawberry butter) and chocolate mousse.
So nice to have help.
We then had a rousing lesson by Maddy Mae about our bodies, spirits, valentine hearts, being kind to others and of course, musical chairs. We made sure to record it for posterity. (The way she uses her hands! She certainly got her points across).
And to unwind the night, we listened and watched favorite clips from Get Smart and Dan in Real Life, to name a few. Maybe not the most romantic night, but darn hilarious.
Speaking of romantic, my Jonathan took me out on Saturday. We went to The Macaroni Grill where I ordered something a little too strong for my tastebuds and my
sweetheart traded his dish of halibut and risotto with me. So much better than mine.
So much. We then braved the lines at The Cheesecake Factory for a slice of
Snickers heaven. It was divine. But then my tummy hurt. Oh well.
We finished off the evening seeing the movie Dear John.
Very emotional. Good. Just not enough closure
at the end for me. Thank you darling for
a lovely night.
So...good food, good entertainment, good company...A perfect weekend.
